Responsibilities
The Executive Committee's primary responsibilities involve program organization and governance. It organizes the bi-annual conferences, assists in preparations, reviews and selects submissions, and organizes panels with the Local Coordinator for the APL program. Moreover, it manages the APL’s policies and procedures, oversees the website, coordinates a session at the conference, reviews applications to host the conference, reviews and consults on the conference budget, and acts as editor for the Textures book series.
Submitting a Resolution for the Membership Meeting
All proposals, resolutions, and motions to be voted on at the bi-annual membership meeting held at the APL conference must be distributed to the Executive Committee one month before the conference so that they can be made available to the membership. A quorum for voting is 10% of the dues-paying members at the beginning of the bi-annual conference.
